The Abbottmulti-Collect Specimen Collection Kit is a combined sampling, transportand storage device designed to allow specimens to arrive at the testinglocation ready for the processing and detection of Chlamydia trachomatis and/or Neisseria gonorrhoeae.

One Collection Kit for Male or Female Samples:

Collect Either a Swab or a Urine Specimen
Thekit contains a transfer pipette for adding approximately 3 mL of urineto the Transport Tube and an individually packaged sterile SpecimenCollection Swab that is placed into the Transport Tube after swabsampling. The Transport Tube contains 1.2 mL of Specimen TransportBuffer and is used to stabilize DNA until sample preparation.

SAMPLE COLLECTION PROCEDURE:
1. Collect specimen following urine or swab collection procedure
2. Place specimen into transport tube
3. Send to laboratory

Each multi-Collect Specimen Collection Kit Contains:
  • Individually packaged sterile specimen collection swab
  • Transfer pipette for the addition of urine
  • Transport tube, which contains specimen transport buffer to stabilize DNA until sample preparation
