The TriGenTM Assay is a fast, reliable and simple test kit for detection of trisomy 21 and aneusomy of chromosomes X and Y. In clinical trials, the TriGen Assay detected trisomy 21 and aneusomy of chromosomes X and Y within 6 hours with 100% accuracy. The TriGen Assay provides definitive diagnostic information from direct amniocyte preparations. The test fits easily into the routine of the cytogenetic laboratory. The TriGen Assay kit provides an easy and economical way to perform standardized assays. Each kit contains the essential components needed to perform 20 standardized assays (22 x 22 mm area). TriGen is registered as an in vitro diagnostic product with the French AFSSAPS (Registration No. R84932). The TriGen Assay is only available for sale outside of the United States.

3 DNA Probes LSI 21 SpectrumOrange DNA FISH Probe
NP-40 (For preparation of wash solutions) DAPI II Counterstain (Used to counterstain the cells)
3 DNA Probes LSI 21 SpectrumOrange DNA FISH Probe
- Contains unique DNA sequences complementary to the loci D21S259, D21S341 and D21S342 contained within the 21q22.13-21q22.2 region on the long arm of chromosome 21 and is approximately 200 kb in size. LSI 21 probe is directly labeled with the SpectrumOrange fluorophore.
- Contain chromosome-specific alphoid DNA sequences. The CEP X probe hybridizes to the centromere region of chromosome X (Xp11.1-q11.1). CEP X probe is directly labeled with the SpectrumGreen fluorophore. The CEP Y probe hybridizes to the centromere region of chromosome Y (Yp11.1-q11.1). CEP Y probe is directly labeled with the SpectrumOrange fluorophore.
- Confirm that the assay is performing within expected parameters. Can be used in training technologists to interpret FISH on interphase cells.
