Parvo B19 PCR Kit

Description

The Parvo B19 PCR Kit constitutes a ready-to-use system for thedetection of Parvovirus B19 DNA using Real-Time polymerase chainreaction (PCR) in the ABI PRISM® 7000 Sequence Detection System(Applied Biosystems). The kit contains reagents and enzymes for thespecific amplification of a 76 bp region of the Parvovirus B19 genome.The amplicon is detected by measuring the FAM fluorescence in the ABIPRISM® SDS. In addition, the Parvo B19 PCR Kit contains a secondheterologous amplification system to identify possible PCRinhibition.This is detected as an Internal Control (IC) by measuringVIC fluorescence.  External positive controls are supplied which allow the determination of the pathogen load.

The Parvo B19 PCR Kit is CE marked according to the European IVD Directive 98/79/EC.

Excellent Sensitivity
Parvo B19 PCR Kit has been optimized to detect very low viral load down to 0.2 IU/µl.

Specificity
The specificity of the Parvo B19 PCR Kit is first and foremost ensured bythe selection of the primers and probes, as well as the selection ofstringent reaction conditions.  The detectability of all relevantstrains has thus been ensured, as well as the exclusion ofcross-reactivity with other species.

Internal Control
The Internal Control allows the user both to control the nucleic acid isolation efficiency and to check for possible PCRinhibition. Optionally it can be used exclusively to check for possible PCR inhibition.

Quantitative Results
External Quantitation Standards of different concentrations (QS 1-5) are supplied for precise quantitation of the pathogen load.

Flexible Throughput
The instrument allows the handling of one sample up to 96 samples in one single run.
